Gingerbread Pop-Tarts and a Contest *contest closed*

This is a compensated review by BlogHer and Pop-Tarts®.

IMG_0897

I was asked to come up with something special using the limited edition Printed Fun Gingergbread Pop-Tarts from Kellogg’s.

IMG_0895

Ginger is one of those finicky ingredients that only works with so many other flavors. Eggnog for one, but I am not a fan. Instead, I decided to mingle some hot and cold foods: ice cream topped with the crumbled Pop-Tarts and a steamy creamy cup of homemade cocoa.

IMG_0899

These gingerbread Pop-Tarts have a little design printed on them, but you can’t see that too well once broken up.

IMG_0901

What do you think?

IMG_0907

Does it look like a yummy afternoon snack?

IMG_0908

Or a holiday treat while gathered ‘round the campfire?

IMG_0911

Everyone in the house found the combo of the gingerbread Pop-Tarts and the vanilla ice cream really tasty.

IMG_0913

Priceless.

IMG_0915

And the hot chocolate chaser kept us nice and warm on this really cold December day.

IMG_0923

On to the good stuff!

My favorite is O Holy Night when I'm being spiritual, and The Happy Elf, by Harry Connick Jr. when I'm not! Ha! Also, the link to the official rules wasn't working...

Favorite holiday song? Oh that's hard. I really like anything by Mannheim Steamroller. But one song I heard 2 years ago (haven't heard it since) is called the Gift by Aselin Debison.

Hi Amie

Oh wow, I have two favorites...

The first is "O Holy Night" and it's unbelievably amazing when sung by Celine Dion.

And "It's the most wonderful time of the year" especially by Johnny Mathis or Amy Grant.

I am also partial to anything by Mannheim Steamroller.

Fabulous!!!
